In this 46-minute talk, Kirsten Clacey and Jay-Allen Morris speak about remote meetings and how to make them more impactful and effective.
Kirsten and Jay-Allen explore some of the challenges people face in remote meetings and the possible hurdles to healthy remote collaboration. So often the benefits of remote work are spoken about but not a lot of people speak about the challenges of these spaces. They gained insights from the audience of real challenges being faced and then unpacked the neuroscience behind those challenges and what might be going on for people in remote spaces.
Their intention of this talk was for people to leave with an understanding of what to think about in remote meetings as well as leave with something practical. After they cover the challenges they share two principles: Create Equal Opportunity & Guide With Visuals along with some practical methods for each.
