Scrum Alliance Creates New Designation: Registered Education Ally

Scrum Alliance Creates New Designation: Registered Education Ally

Scrum Alliance® is pleased to announce a new designation specifically for those companies who demonstrate a high level of market visibility, student support, and customer service: Registered Education Ally (REA).

Scrum Alliance REAs are third-party organizations who provide marketing and logistical support for Scrum Alliance-approved education providers: individuals specifically certified by Scrum Alliance to teach and train.

“As a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer®, I am grateful for the support of [REAs]. Because I can count on my Registered Education Ally to take care of marketing and sales, customer service, venue coordination, accounting, administration, and logistics, I can focus all of my attention on my student’s education.”  said Arne Åhlander.

The REA program expands and complements the existing Scrum Alliance Registered Education Provider (REP) program. The primary difference between a REP and a REA is that the REP designation is now limited to those organizations that are owned by the person who is actually teaching the class. By contrast, the REA can offer classes from multiple Scrum Alliance-approved education providers, as long as those providers have authorized that REA to list their courses.

“We are thrilled that the new REA program provides clarity to the market and superior service to students who are pursuing Scrum Alliance certifications,” said Howard Sublett, Chief Product Owner, Scrum Alliance.
