The Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Coach® programs are the most challenging certifications in the industry, requiring significant time and focus to be successful. This session helps prospective CAC® candidates understand the challenging requirements and an efficient approach for preparing themselves to be successful in their application journey.
During the past several years, Scrum Alliance and coaching community volunteers have been working hard to develop, improve, and expand the Scrum Alliance’s Certified Agile Coach (CAC) programs. In this session, Vernon Stinebaker, a member of the CEC Review Team, CTC Review Team, and Program Improvement Team (PIT) introduces the application paths available to candidates. The session provides insight into which path might be right for candidates, as well as providing tips on key things to pay attention to while working on the application.
In the second half of the session, Vernon introduces four key development pipelines that candidates should focus on to accelerate their coaching development: experience, agile knowledge, developing professional coaching skills, and community involvement. Many candidates inadvertently delay their own progress either by not being aware of these requirements or not developing them in parallel.
If you’re thinking of applying as a Certified Agile Coach, this session provides you with essential information to help you chart your course.
