Facilitators help people discuss challenges, make decisions, and co-create solutions, which are all vital to how companies achieve their goals. Being a great facilitator means you are the guide for the process while remaining neutral to the specific outcome. Like any skill set, facilitation can be developed and continuously improved.
Scrum Alliance is proud to announce the launch of a new certification course focused on developing a facilitation mindset and skill set. Register now for the Agile Coaching Skills - Certified Facilitator (ACS-CF) course! It’s made for anyone who wants to be better at facilitation.
Anyone interested in improving their facilitation skills. You don’t need a scrum or agile background to become an ACS-CF. Basic knowledge of agile principles and facilitation is beneficial, but you’ll have the opportunity to build a strong foundation from materials provided by your instructor ahead of class.
Agilists interested in a coaching career or building their agile leader skill set. This course is essential if you’re on a journey to become an agile coach or leader, or have other plans for a career focused on better ways of working. It also validates the facilitation competency if you’re applying to become a Certified Agile Coach®, so you’ll be one step closer.
The ACS-CF dives deep into a facilitator's mindset, ability, and knowledge, not just techniques and tools. Key learning objectives fall under:
The course will define facilitation, explore the orientation of the facilitator (concepts known as facilitating from the front, back, and from within), and show you how to unearth a group’s needs. You’ll also learn about facilitating through conflict and utilizing conflict as a powerful tool. These are just a few of the learning areas you can expect to cover.
You and other attendees will get at least 16 hours of live instruction. At least four hours are dedicated to hands-on facilitation practice.
This course will be delivered by a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®), Certified Enterprise Coach℠ (CEC℠), or Certified Team Coach℠ (CTC℠) who has validated experience or education in facilitation. These professionals have been intensely vetted for their expertise. The CST, CEC, and CTC certifications are some of the toughest to acquire in the industry and speak volumes about the instructor’s expertise and ambassadorship in scrum and agile principles, practices, and values.
You can learn about your trainer in the course search results, which will display the date, time, format, and details about the instructor and the teaching style.
Scrum Alliance is thrilled to open the Agile Coaching Skills - Certified Facilitator course for registration. Use Course Search to find a class that works for you. You’ll be able to browse for the right dates, time, format, and trainer of your choosing.
