Editor's note: This article is one of a series designed to be At Your Service as we all learn to connect with one another even while we're remote. Because together we are not alone.
This year’s Global Scrum GatheringSM New York, like so many large and small gatherings across the globe, had to be shelved to ensure everyone’s safety. And this year's Global Scrum GatheringSM Lisbon was rescheduled for November of 2021 out of an abundance of caution. But that doesn’t mean the learning has to stop. We’re involved with several upcoming virtual engagements where you can hear live from our leaders and other great agilists around the globe. Plus, some of our own Gatherings speakers have pre-recorded sessions for you to watch at your leisure—at absolutely no cost.
We’ve found that things feel a bit more normal when we can gather together virtually to listen, to learn, and to network with colleagues and like-minded peers. These next few conferences aim to bring that experience to you.
Our own Melissa Boggs is presenting at Agile 100, an exciting virtual event featuring 11 agile rockstars, including Alex Osterwalder, Diana Larsen, Gabrielle Benefeld, and Pete Behrens, among others. Melissa takes the stage at 18:00 CET / 10:00 MDT, and will discuss “Courage. Empathy. Creativity: The Complexity of Agile Leadership.”
For more information and to register, visit the Agile 100 website.
The next conference, The Agile Virtual Summit, is coming up fast, and is free! Our own Howard Sublett will be kicking off Day 3 on 3 June at 9:00 AM PT, with a talk called “The Power of the Pivot: Agile companies are built for times like these.” Howard will be discussing how Scrum Alliance has adapted to these extraordinary times, and won’t be sugarcoating the obstacles we’ve faced even in the midst of great success.
The conference continues with what the conference calls “a dream team of agilists:” 16 agile speakers, ranging from Lyssa Adkins to Jim Benson to Clinton Keith to Ronica Roth, and more!
For more information and a free ticket (normally $297), visit AgileVirtualSummit.com/Free.
Every Certified ScrumMaster has coaching responsibilities to their team and organization. Some CSMs even go on the learning journey to become Certified Agile Coaches (Certified Team Coaches or Certified Executive Coaches). If you're looking for ways to improve your coaching abilities, the World Business & Executive Coaching Summit 2020 is two events in one, all focused on new ideas, tactics and perspectives on coaching.
For 3 weeks beginning 26 May 2020, you can attend the live, online WBECS Pre-Summit, at no cost, featuring 45 sessions from 50 thought leaders. Then, if you like what you hear, you join the WBECS Full Summit, also online, beginning 5 September 2020. You can check out the details and join at https://coach.wbecs.com/wbecs-2020/scrumalliance.
Held in two different time zones, Business Agility: Emerging from Crisis is an all-online conference featuring short, 20-minute stories from executives and thought leaders, plus facilitated deep dives with peers.
