Scrum Alliance is proud to be a Global Partner of Agile Alliance for 2021. In this role, we will support Agile2021 and host a unique, half-day agile coaching event for attendees in multiple time zones as part of the conference. (There is no additional cost for the coaching event.) We will also work with Agile Alliance to imagine how we could come together in future events to better support Agile practitioners around the world.
Agile Alliance and Scrum Alliance share a similar mission: Agile Alliance strives to build a more effective, humane, and sustainable way of working; Scrum Alliance seeks to empower our members to create a world of work that is joyful, prosperous and sustainable. We were both founded in 2001, the same year the Agile Manifesto came to be, and we both exist to support our members with events, resources, and education that advance the agile movement. It’s only natural that we find opportunities to work together to expand our global reach and better serve all of our members.
This is especially true this year, when most events are virtual to keep us all safe and corporate budgets, including professional development, are necessarily tight. We are not competitors; we are two organizations focused on how we can impact the world of work.
Agile companies value collaboration, adaptation, individuals and interactions, and delivery. We believe this first-of-its-kind global partnership is the epitome of what it means to work together in innovative ways to deliver value to our customers—you, the agile and Scrum community.
Scrum Alliance typically hosts two Global Scrum Gatherings every year. This year, we are only holding one Global Scrum GatheringSM, virtually and later in the year, along with several smaller, virtual, events, including the ½ day coaching event at Agile2021. ju In lieu of our traditional Spring event, we hope you will attend Agile 2021, held virtually from 19-21 July 2021.
To make it easier for you to attend Agile2021 (and our coaching event, included with registration), we’ve arranged for all active Scrum Alliance members to receive a $200 registration discount. Early bird pricing is in effect until 31 March 2021 and ranges from $299-$499, so that $200 will go a long way towards the cost of the event. Special registration links can be found in your member profile. If you are not active currently and would like to renew, you can follow the process to renew and still receive the discount. If you are not a Scrum Alliance member, you can register here at the regular registration rate.
The Agile2021 schedule is using a follow-the-sun format, with sessions taking place in three regions around the globe, highlighting speakers from each region: The Americas, Europe, Middle East Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC)
This means that people around the world will be able to participate and engage with the vibrant global agile community. The main language for the event is English but translate captions will be available for all sessions.
In addition to supporting Agile Alliance in their global virtual event, Scrum Alliance will also be hosting a special coaching event for new and aspiring coaches. At the event, we’ll provide expert insight from seasoned professionals in the space. To learn more about the Agile Coaching profession, read our 2020 State of Agile Coaching Report.
There is no additional cost to attend the Scrum Alliance coaching event. To join us, register for Agile2021 and you’ll get an email with more details in the next few weeks.
In this video, Scrum Alliance's Cheif Product Owner, Howard Sublett and Agile Alliance's Interim Managing Director, Ellen Grove discuss their organization's shared goals.
