Scrum Alliance is pleased to release the 2025 Annual Report, reflecting a pivotal year for agility and the professionals who enable organizations to thrive through change. The report reflects a year shaped by accelerating AI adoption and ongoing disruption across global markets. In response, organizations across industries are reassessing how they operate and the capabilities they need from their people.

What is becoming clear is that enterprises no longer need narrowly defined roles or framework specialization alone. Instead, they need multi-skilled professionals who can work across functions, support strategic priorities, and help organizations navigate complexity. Agile professionals across the Scrum Alliance community are already stepping into this role, demonstrating the adaptability, systems thinking, and leadership modern work now demands. We're proud to be working alongside you to build a more agile world.

What's inside:

How 2025 reshaped modern work

Over the past year and continuing into today, leaders and teams everywhere have felt the pace of change accelerate. AI is advancing quickly, markets are shifting, and familiar ways of working are being tested in real time. As this transformation unfolds, organizations are leaning into resilience, adaptability, and continuous learning as essentials, not extras.

Agility has emerged as a practical way to keep moving forward. It helps teams navigate uncertainty, experiment with confidence, and discover new opportunities when old playbooks no longer fit.

For agile professionals, this ongoing shift brings both challenge and opportunity. Across the Scrum Alliance community, members are stepping up every day, applying agility to real business problems and helping their organizations respond, learn, and evolve as change continues.

Expanding Agile for Anyone™

Agile for Anyone continues to grow because agility applies to many roles, industries, and career stages. Our focus is on making agile learning easier to access and more flexible, so professionals can explore new skills, deepen their expertise, and follow learning paths that reflect where they are and where they want to go.

In 2025, we took important steps forward by launching new microcredentials that help members build specific, in-demand skills in ways that fit into real life and real work. We also expanded self-directed learning options and added new tools and resources, giving members more ways to grow at their own pace and apply agility where it matters most.

Supercharging member value and global connection

Supporting our members means continuously investing in what helps them succeed. In 2025, we added 14 new member benefits, including new tools, partner offers, discounts, and resources designed to support ongoing skill development and career growth as expectations for modern work continue to evolve.

Our global community also collaborated in powerful ways. The Global Scrum Gathering in Munich brought practitioners from around the world together to learn, connect, and celebrate agility in action. Regional Scrum Gatherings connected local communities, creating spaces for shared learning where agile work is growing every day.

Education partnerships with world-class institutions played an important role as well. Collaborations with Northwestern University, Kanban University, and Coursera opened new doors for professionals eager to deepen their skills and turn learning into meaningful impact within their organizations.

Where we're headed in 2026

Looking ahead, our focus remains on strengthening the ecosystem that supports learning, connection, and professional growth. As organizations continue to navigate AI adoption and ongoing disruption, the need for adaptable, multi-skilled professionals will only grow.

In 2026, Scrum Alliance will keep expanding learning opportunities, supporting member-led communities, and building tools and resources that help professionals lead through change. We are excited to continue this work alongside our members, trainers, coaches, and partners, whose dedication brings agility to life every day.

Looking ahead together

Agility is quickly becoming a core capability of modern work. Scrum Alliance is proud to support professionals who are building these skills and using them to make a meaningful difference in the organizations they serve.
